Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: [Insert Date]

1. Introduction

At [Your Company Name], we understand that plans can change. This Cancellation Policy outlines how clients may cancel projects and the associated terms. By engaging with our services, you agree to this policy.

2. Project Cancellation by the Client

Clients may request to cancel a project at any time by notifying us in writing via email at [Your Email Address].

2.1 Before Work Begins

  • If a project is canceled before any work has commenced, the client is eligible for a full refund, excluding any non-refundable deposits or third-party costs (e.g., licenses, domain purchases).

2.2 After Work Has Started

  • If cancellation occurs after work has begun but before completion:

    • A partial refund may be issued based on the percentage of the project completed.

    • All work completed up to the cancellation point remains the property of [Your Company Name] until full payment is made or otherwise agreed.

2.3 After Project Completion

  • Once a project is completed and final deliverables are approved, it is non-refundable and non-cancellable.

  • This applies even if the final files have not yet been downloaded or transferred.

3. Non-Cancellable Items

The following services and situations are not eligible for cancellation or refund:

  • Rush orders or urgent design requests

  • Work involving third-party costs (e.g., plugins, stock assets)

  • Services already fully delivered (e.g., completed logos, live websites)

  • Monthly retainers or support packages (see agreement terms)

4. Cancellation by the Company

We reserve the right to cancel any project under the following conditions:

  • The client fails to provide content or approvals within 14 days of request.

  • Communication breaks down (no response after 3 attempts within 10 days).

  • Violation of terms, inappropriate conduct, or non-payment.

In these cases:

  • We will notify the client of cancellation by email.

  • Work completed up to that point will be invoiced.

  • No further obligation will exist between both parties.

5. Reinstatement of a Canceled Project

If a project was canceled and the client wishes to resume it:

  • A reactivation fee may apply.

  • A new timeline and revised cost estimate will be issued.

6. Communication is Key

We strongly encourage open and timely communication throughout the process. If you’re unsure about something or need to pause the project temporarily, please let us know — we’re happy to work with you.
